NOTE: AFA’s Board voted to oppose these bills, which appear to regulate the source of animals sold at the state’s pet shops, but allow large scale breeders to supply puppies. Any local regulation of pet shops would be pre-empted. Here’s our testimony, presented at the May 2, 2018 House Agriculture Committee hearing. The Committee took no vote.
